Abell Point Marina has long been a major gateway to the Whitsundays for the boating community. Marina owner Paul Darrouzet purchased the marina in 2013 and has spent the last five years investing in a multi-million dollar transformation to create Queensland’s most vibrant marina precinct.
In 2016 Abell Point became the first marina in Australia to attain 5 Gold Anchor Global Marina Accreditation, which offers an international benchmark standard of excellence for marina’s worldwide. Paul Darrouzet explains “It was a very momentous occasion for Abell Point Marina as we have taken a previously run down 2.5-star marina to a 5-star marina that now sets a benchmark across the globe. We are based on the doorstep of the best cruising grounds in the world, and our vision is to have a world class marina experience to match.”
