Opening their doors and joining the team at Abell Point Marina this month is the locally owned and operated Whitsunday Seafood Company. Providing marina guests, locals and visitors to the marina village with the best in local seafood, is a service which Whitsunday Seafood Company owner operators Matthew Fitzgerald and Tamie Scott are proud to be offering at their new retail store at Abell Point Marina.

As Tamie explains “The main reason for opening our retail store at Abell Point Marina, is that we love connecting the region with quality Australian seafood. Being able to supply the community with a consistent supply of fresh produce has been the success of our business so far and our key point of difference.” Amongst the range of services offered by Whitsunday Seafood Company is delivery to vessels berthed in the marina, pre-packaging and portioning of seafood orders suitable for storage in galley fridges and sourcing specialist seafood items on request. Tamie confirms “We welcome special requests and make every effort to source the required seafood for our valued customers.”

Giving guests unprecedented access to a range of local seafood and continuously providing much-sought after services within the marina village is all part of the VIB Blue Carpet Treatment on offer at Abell Point Marina. Whether it be yacht crew looking to procure fresh and locally sourced seafood, or guests in the marina looking for a platter to take with them for a day on-the-water, Whitsunday Seafood Company can assist. Crew and owners looking to pre-order provisioning can liaise directly with the staff at the retail store in advance and have their order ready to collect when they arrive in port.

In addition to the seafood, they offer a range of spices, oils and salts to enhance and accompany any seafood dish. Tamie confirms they intend to further extend their range into the future with fresh eggs, pastas, teas and other boutique specialist items. With high quality produce and customer focused service, Whitsunday Seafood Company is in a prime location to be yet another superb and unique product operating from the marina village.

With unique décor and a wide variety of seafood on offer, the team at Abell Point Marina are delighted to welcome Matt and Tamie and their staff onboard.
