The Marina comprises 507 wet berths and can accommodate vessels up to 60m. Each berth allocation has access to fresh water and shore power. Three-phase power requirements can be catered for, on request. Premium services available include after-hours security patrols, pump-out facilities, 24 hour fuel (including fast flow diesel and credit card payment facilities), CCTV at marina gates and secure gate access. The marina itself is protected by a unique rock wall breakwater and is cyclone rated – making Abell Point Marina the perfect place for both long and short term stays.
Berths are available from 12noon to 11am (on day of departure). Should you require an earlier berthing time please make arrangements with our reservations team, who will endeavour to meet specific berthing requirements whenever possible.
Every morning the friendly customer service team walk the marina to confirm departing vessels, or ascertain is vessels intend on extending their stay. From this information we then allocate the arrivals for the day. Due to the high volume of vessel traffic in the marina, particularly during peak period, occasionally there may be a need for temporary arrangements to be made.

A three-day weather forecast, including the tide chart and sea level pressure prognosis is printed daily. Copies are available for collection from both marina offices or can be located on our weather page. We now have weather boards located in both the north and south marina villages, which are updated daily to reflect the current weather conditions.

The fuel wharf is available for public use and is a 24hr facility. Card payment facilities are available at the fuel docks. Due to the high volume of boat movements during office hours (8am – 5pm), it is essential to make a fuel booking in advance with the marina office. We allocate half an hour for each vessel to reduce congestion and to enable the next vessel to dock for its scheduled time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in complying with the scheduled time slot for refuelling.
No booking is required for refuelling outside of office hours.
Gas refills are available from both north and south marina offices. Please contact our friendly team to arrange gas refills.
From 6pm to 6am daily each marina arm security gate will remain locked for security purposes. A key/security tag will be issued to you on arrival which will permit after hours access to your berthing arm. As security deposit is required for this key/ security tag. On your departure day, please return your key/ security tag to the marina office and your deposit will be refunded.
Laundry facilities including washing machines and dryers are available at both the North and South Marina Village from 5:30am – 9:00pm. Change machines are available for your convenience with lockers located in the North Marina Village laundry.
Shower and bathroom facilities are available in both the southern and northern marina precincts. Your marina key/security tag provides access to these amenities 24 hours a day. To ensure high levels of cleanliness, we complete regular checks of all our facilities daily. We also rely on our customers and operators to notify us of any shortfalls. Please contact the marina office if there is anything you believe requires our attention in the amenities facility.
Abell Point Marina has Clean Marina Accreditation and we are committed to providing refuse facilities to encourage recycling. You can help Abell Point Marina maintain our beautiful environment by using the appropriate bins to reduce the amount of land fill waste produced. We have two garbage disposal stations – one is opposite the north marina office (in the turning circle), and the other is adjacent to the south marina office. Please ensure all garbage is double wrapped and disposed of in the correct bins. There are recycling bins provided at each refuse station and we kindly ask that you crush and/or flatten cardboard boxes to reduce waste. Garbage is cleared on a daily basis.
Trolleys are available at both North and South Marina offices to help with provisioning, garbage disposal, etc.
Barcelona Tapas Bar & Cafe, Kiosk Cafe and Sorrento Restaurant & Bar all have Wifi available for their customers. See venue staff for details.
All vessels staying in the marina must have current full comprehensive insurance as well as P&I (Protection & Indemnity) insurance cover to the value of A$10M. The insurance provider must be licensed to operate in Australia under the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) for the marina to accept the policy. A copy of the vessel’s current insurance documentation is required, along with a signed copy of the Licence Agreement when checking in. This requirement provides guests with the comfort of knowing that your neighbour’s vessel is adequately insured.
It is mandatory that all electrical cords or cables connecting to our shore power service must be tested and tagged by a qualified professional, and be displaying a valid tag on the lead at all times. Electrical cords or cables connecting to shore supply must have a current rating no less than 15Amp if the supply is a single phase.
Contractors and tradespeople working in the Marina must be registered with the marina prior to commencing work. Insurance and qualification certificates must be presented to the marina office to be kept on file and all tools and cords used by the contractor must be tagged and compliant. Boat owners are responsible for any trades-people/ contractors they engage to undertake work on their vessel. It is the boat owner’s responsibility to ensure registration has occurred and insurance and qualifications are in place prior to work commencing. These measures are in place to ensure a high quality and standard of services provided by tradespeople
The marina village has various services suiting most boating requirements. From mechanical to electrical, from provisioning to chandlery the range of services on-site is very comprehensive. Abell Point Marina has after-hours on-site security personnel in the marina nightly from 6pm – 5am. If you have any security issues in the marina during these hours, please do not hesitate to phone 0488 140 923. After-hours security are also available to assist with after-hours berthing, so please contact the office within office hours to make appropriate arrangements.
