The Marina comprises 507 wet berths and can accommodate vessels up to 60m. Each berth allocation has access to fresh water and shore power. Three-phase power requirements can be catered for, on request. Premium services available include after-hours security patrols, pump-out facilities, 24 hour fuel (including fast flow diesel and credit card payment facilities), CCTV at marina gates and secure gate access. The marina itself is protected by a unique rock wall breakwater and is cyclone rated – making Abell Point Marina the perfect place for both long and short term stays.
Berths are available from 12noon to 11am (on day of departure). Should you require an earlier berthing time please make arrangements with our reservations team, who will endeavour to meet specific berthing requirements if possible.
Every morning the friendly team walk the marina docks to confirm vessel movement for the day; including departures and customers extending their stay. From this information we then allocate the arrivals for the day. Due to the high volume of vessel traffic, occasionally there may be a need for temporary arrangements to be made.
If entering the marina after hours, please contact us during the day for your berthing allocation and we will SMS you the security after hours contact and then can assist with berthing.

We understand that you may not get to experience the best of the Whitsundays in one visit or you may like to extend your stay. Should that be the case, please notify us as soon as is convenient.

A three-day weather forecast, including the tide chart and sea level pressure prognosis is printed daily. Copies are available for collection from both marina offices or can be located on our weather page. Weather boards displaying the current weather are also located in both the north and south marina villages, as well as links to the daily weather being accessible on our eConcierge app.

The fuel wharf is available for public use with 24/7 access. Card payment facilities are available on the fuel wharf. Due to the high volume of boat movements, it is essential to make a fuel booking in advance with the marina office during office hours. To reduce congestion, we allocate half an hour for each vessel to utilise the fuel, water and pump out facilities and to assist the next vessel to dock for its scheduled time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation at the fuel wharfs.
No booking is required for refuelling outside of office hours.
Gas refills are available from both north and south marina offices. Please contact our friendly team to arrange gas refills.
From 6pm to 5am daily each marina arm security gate will remain locked for security purposes. An access card will be issued to you on arrival which will permit after hours access to your berthing arm. As security deposit is required for this access card. On your departure day, please return your access card to the marina office and your deposit will be refunded.
Laundry facilities are available from 5:30am – 9:00pm. Change machines are available for your convenience. Pricing is $4 per load/ $1 per 10 minutes for the dryer
Luggage lockers are also available in the north marina laundry.
Shower and bathroom facilities are available in both the southern and northern marina precincts. Your marina access card provides access to these amenities 24 hours a day. To ensure high levels of cleanliness, we complete regular checks of all our facilities daily. We also rely on our customers and operators to notify us of any shortfalls. Please contact the marina office if there is anything you believe requires our attention in the amenities facility.
Abell Point Marina has Clean Marina Accreditation and we are committed to providing refuse facilities to encourage recycling. You can help Abell Point Marina maintain our beautiful environment by using the appropriate bins to reduce the amount of land fill waste produced. We have two garbage disposal stations – one is opposite the north marina office (in the turning circle), and the other is adjacent to the south marina office. Please ensure all garbage is double wrapped and disposed of in the correct bins. There are recycling bins provided at each refuse station and we kindly ask that you crush and/or flatten cardboard boxes to reduce waste. Garbage is cleared on a daily basis.
Trolleys are available at both North and South Marina offices to help with provisioning, garbage disposal, etc.
Kiosk Cafe and Sorrento Restaurant & Bar have Wifi available for their customers. See venue staff for details. In addition, we now have guest WiFi in the South Marina office and on Ocean Club – please speak with the friendly customer service staff about how to access this service.
All vessels staying in the Marina must have current full comprehensive insurance including P&I (Protection & Indemnity) cover to the value of A$10M. We accept third party insurance policies which have P&I cover to the value of A$10M and recreational removal and salvage to the value of A$10M. Insurance must be from a provider that is licensed to operate in Australia under the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). A copy of the vessel’s current insurance documentation is required, along with a signed copy of the Licence Agreement when checking in.
It is mandatory that all electrical leads connecting to our shore power must be tested by a qualified professional and have a current and valid tag displayed on the lead. It is also compulsory that all single phase power leads are to have a current rating no less than 15AMP for safety requirements.
Abell Point Marina require all contractors and trades people to check in at the marina office prior to commencing any work within the marina precinct. This process helps us maintain a high quality standard of service provided by contractors and tradespeople working in the marina. Insurance and qualification certificates must be presented at the office and all tools and cords must be tagged. Boat owners are responsible for any trades people they engage to undertake work on their vessel. It is the boat owner’s responsibility to ensure registration has occurred and insurance and qualifications are in place.
• Note for CONTRACTORS: All contractors wishing to undertake any work within the Abell Point Marina precinct are required to complete a Work Health and Safety Site induction and register with the marina office.It is imperative that all workers are aware of the variety of hazards inherent within a marina environment, marina policies and rules, and what to do in the event of an emergency, all the while ensuring that the highest standard of professionalism is upheld when within Abell Point Marina.All workers are to read the Contractor WHS Site Induction handbook and complete the questionnaire in the back, sign and return to the Abell Point Marina office or email a signed copy to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The marina village has a range of marine services suiting most boating requirements. From mechanical to electrical, from provisioning to chandlery the range of services on-site is very comprehensive. If you cannot find a service you require, please do not hesitate to contact the friendly reservations team, who will be able to recommend a quality local supplier. You can refer to the marina village services for further information and contact details, or simply explore the village at your own leisure.
Abell Point Marina has after-hours on-site security personnel in the marina nightly from 6pm – 5am. If you have any security issues in the marina during these hours, please do not hesitate to phone 0488 140 923. After-hours security are also available to assist with after-hours berthing, so please contact the office within office hours to make berthing arrangements and the after-hours security will be advised of these arrangements and be able to assist in welcoming you to Abell Point Marina.
