An important element of what makes any visit to the Whitsundays pleasurable is embracing the tropical Whitsunday lifestyle. We have designed a Marina Lifestyle Card with this in mind, to help our guests experience the true village atmosphere of Abell Point Marina and Airlie Beach. The Lifestyle Card captures the true ‘hidden gem’ experiences of the region including dining, fitness, shopping, pampering and more.
Ask one of our friendly team about the availability of the Marina Lifestyle Card and get ready to explore everything the region has on offer. We have also put together some of our own hidden gems below, which we highly recommend whilst enjoying your stay at the marina.

Eungella National Park – if you want to spot a platypus in the wild, then head out to Broken River at the Eungella National Park. Best spotted at sunrise or sunset, these elusive creatures are worth the wait. With a network of excellent rainforest walks, visitors centre, some nice roadside cafes and traditional Queensland pubs on the way, this makes a great day trip out into the Whitsunday hinterland.
Horseshoe Bay – take a scenic drive out to Bowen, enjoy a swim in the azure waters, then lunch at the Horseshoe Bay café. Climb to the lookout and experience stunning views over this part of our Whitsunday coast. For the more adventurous take the waterfront walking track from Horseshoe Bay to Rose Bay and back. Take plenty of water and good walking shoes.
Proserpine Dam – with some incredible bird life and great barra fishing for the avid angler, take a scenic drive out to the Proserpine Dam. With shaded picnic areas and BBQ facilities available to the public, this is a great place to enjoy a calm and tranquil picnic whilst listening to the sounds of nature. A favourite with anglers and for watersports, if you have a dinghy on a trailer take it with you and explore the waterways.
