The Whitsundays is located in north-eastern Australia, on Queensland’s central coast, approximately 1120km north of Brisbane and 630km south of Cairns. The Whitsundays comprises 74 magnificent islands, including 5 with operational resorts on them, and the adjacent coast, centred around the town of Airlie Beach.

Getting to the Whitsundays from overseas is best done by flying into Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney or Melbourne, and then booking a domestic flight into one of the Whitsundays’ two airports. Brisbane offers the best range of connecting flights into the region.

The two airports that service the Whitsundays daily are:

TigerAir will also introduce a direct service from Brisbane in early 2017 providing unprecedented access to the Whitsunday Coast and Airlie Beach.

Buses and taxis meet every flight to transfer guests to Airlie Beach, or to ferries to the island resorts. Car and limousine hire is also available at the airport. We can assist with airport transfers to the marina, please contact our friendly reservations team for more information.
