This state-of-the art waterfront venue adds another dimension to the marina’s onshore facilities enabling guests to celebrate special occasions, weddings, corporate gatherings, launches, gala dinners and conferences.
Nestled in the heart of the Marina Village, it will encompass world-class food, captivating views, in a natural environment encapsulating high professional standard of quality service delivery, enjoyed and fondly remembered for up to 300 guests.
Lure is a destinational venue the Whitsunday’s has been waiting for delivering an entertainment playground for company’s employees, clients, suppliers, delegates, family and friends. The service is warm and welcoming and the cuisine impeccable.
This diversified celebration centre offers a conducive environment for knowledge transfer with flexible function spaces for team building experiences, conferences and offsite meetings with numerous on and off shore activities and break-away areas, as well as the ideal location for a memorable wedding or gathering with loved ones.

Greeted by a hand painted Mariner’s Compass pointing true North upon entering reception, with function rooms fitted with cutting-edge audio visual equipment and wireless microphones, dazzling Heracleum lights, representing the sparkling stars which have guided mariners for centuries, provides a snapshot of the Lure experience.
The Balcony, overlooking the tropical Whitsunday Island paradise, is a breathtaking backdrop for your celebration, Wedding Ceremony, or staff gathering – perfect for timeless photo opportunities and sunset drinks for your guests upon arrival.
Themed in a contemporary nautical style using natural elements of wood, glass and stone it mirrors the sea, the rock wall of the Marina, evoking dreams of the rich sailing history of mariners’ past. Attention to detail is evident from the American Oak ship lapped timbers on the walls, bold feature lighting and the stunning ceiling reminiscent of an upturned boat.
Abell Point Marina owner and operator, Paul Darrouzet said, “This iconic experiential entertainment precinct is not only a platform for companies, their employees, friends and family to enjoy, but has already created additional local job opportunities and aims to increase revenue streams for the existing marina village tenants.”
“The marina aims to leverage on the $12 million of infrastructure upgrades and beautification expansion over the past 2 years, by luring wider national and international guests to the region, particularly capturing the wedding market,” he added.
